<p>Products come to the market so quickly that it is easy to overlook the processes involved in their development and design. Without proper research and development, a product will encounter a number of problems when it comes time for physical production. For example, failure to perform proper blueprinting and measurement may result in parts not fitting together on the assembly line. <p>When you come up with a marketing plan it is good to know who your customers will be.  You need to know if you have a general product that will be used by anyone or a niche product for an exclusive crowd.  The age group should also be considered.</p>
<p>Next you<span id="more-10"></span> will decide how to will promote this product.  That&#8217;s another part of the plan that is relevant.  It&#8217;s a good thing to know if you can use print media, the internet or any other type of advertising avenues.  Word of mouth is good, but you cannot depend on it. But you still want a significant audience, even when marketing a niche product. For example, a plus-size line of women&#8217;s clothing still appeals to a relatively broad audience.</p>
<p>Your product should also be one that is repurchased. Some products like soap and toilet paper are frequently. Clothing customers may repurchase every so often. If you sell large equipment, make sure you also supply the parts. People will be buying the parts more<span id="more-14"></span> than the equipment, as the equipment may last 5 or 10 years.</p>
<p>Customers must derive a number of benefits from using your product. And you must apprize them of the benefits in your advertising. The benefit of a weight loss product is losing weight.
